Mobile Application for Learning to Play Drums
Novotný, Jan ; Zemčík, Pavel (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis aims to design and create a mobile application for teaching percussion playing and rhythmic reading training. The application contains several lessons with exercises that are displayed in the form of music notation. It is made possible to play and practice individual exercises accompanied by a metronome. Furthermore, it offers an analysis of the play on the instrument and provides feedback on the quality of playing. The application is developed on the Xamarin platform for use on Android and iOS operating systems. The result of this work is an application that will serve drummers to practice and provide an evaluation of the accuracy of the played exercise and thus will help to improve their playing skills.
Design of heat recovery steam generator with two pressure levels
Ptáček, Ondřej ; Křemínský, Pavel (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with proposal of a two-lane vertical boiler using the waste heat after gas turbine. In the first part the heat calculation has been done followed by the arrangement of particular heat exchange surfaces and the drawing of real saw diagram. There are also dimensions of drums, inlet and outlet pipes and transfer pipelines drafted. Furthermore, I have listed the materials that are used for casing the boiler and pipelines. Finally, the boiler loss is calculated and the boiler hydraulic calculation is performed. The supplement contains a boiler drawing.
Belt conveyor for sand dumps
Czerner, Marek ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to make design and calculation of belt conveyor for oblique transport of gravel sand fraction 0 - 4 millimetres with the capacity of 70,000 kg per hour, axial distance of 15 m and a slope of 18 °. This thesis includes a brief description of the main parts of the belt conveyor, the functional calculations according to standard ČSN ISO 5048, the determination of the main dimensions, the choice of structural elements, the design of the drive and an overview of manufacturers of similar devices. It is also performed stress analysis of the casing and shaft of the driven drum. To the thesis is attached all the necessary technical drawings and the control calculation of the support pins.
Belt conveyor Categorisation
Šulák, Jakub ; Pokorný, Přemysl (referee) ; Škopán, Miroslav (advisor)
This work describes the type of 70 meters length belt conveyors construction, especially judgement of bearing and tensive standpoints. In here you can also find advantages and disadvantages of itemized conveyors sorts and comparison of contemporary and former structural solution to some conveyor parts as well.
Electronic Drum Control Module
Doležal, Karel ; Růžička, Richard (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This paper deals with development and construction of an electronic drum module. The purpose of the device is to capture signals from an electronic drumkit and to produce sound accordingly. Firstly, a protoype with no sound output is constructed to demonstrate an ability to capture input signals. Based on its function, parameters for a final device are determined. Then, electronic component selection and design of printed circuit boards is described with an aim to maximalize polyphony and minimize latency of the sound generator. After that, firmware with software mixing algorithm is designed. Lastly, testing and measurement of real device parameters is performed.

Klaudius Kryšpín (monograph)
KRÁLOVÁ, Aneta
The main theme of the thesis is the personality of the rock drummer Klaudius Kryšpín and his musical and pedagogical activities. The thesis contains basic biographical data describing the sequence of important events in Kryšpín's personal and professional life. One of the main topics is his presence in the prominent rock bands (Pražský výběr, Stromboli) which are described in some detail. Furthermore, Australian bands are mentioned with which he appeared on stage for a certain period. In the later parts of the text his method of preparing for music seminars and their organisation is described, and structure of private lessons given by him is analysed. The structure of lessons is highly original; teaching however is not usually regular and it is not financially motivated. In the conclusion of the thesis the drum kit is summarised along with the specifics of the technique of playing drums.
